Rain Dance Team...

The name Rain was chosen because it is their desire that when they perform the presence of God would "rain" down.  Rain is coordinated by Natasha, one of our teenage students, and Gloria Hairston, one of our CFC mothers, also a staff member.

Dance and step are used as a way to reach out to girls and disciple them.  Before practice they have a Bible study and group discussion.  Rain performs throughout the year at churches, cafes, block parties, nursing homes, and outreach events.  If you are interested in Rain preforming at your church or event, please contact Melvin Wilson at the Center.

Music Lessons...

Rich Semke, a retired music teacher, and professional musician, teaches music lessons two afternoons a week.   Any student who has a desire to learn to play a musical instrument  can receive lessons.  Currently, seven students participate in this program and are learning either the flute , the clarinet, the trumpet, or the saxophone.

Art...

Throughout the year, visiting artists have come to our Center to do classroom art projects using various mediums such as paints, beads, drawing pads, and other forms of expression for artwork. We have had students also participate in a community mural project, networking with Danzante. The students painted a section of a mural attached to the Mulberry St. Bridge in Harrisburg. We are always on the lookout for those willing to come and aid our students in learning to express themselves better through different forms of art.
